GeekyStuff.co – Reset, Realign, Restart

I started Geekystuff.co 11 years ago in 2011. At the time I was between jobs and bored so thought I’d start another blog looking at things that would be considered geeky.. (See About Page)

I also used this blog to learn about affiliate marketing, and to my surprise made a few £££’s along the way.

Early in 2012, my personal blog Michaelisherwood.com had unexpectedly become relatively popular with thousands of views a month due to a particular post. Due to this upsurge in traffic, I had to spend lots of time updating that particular post and it became almost a full-time job. Something had to give and it was this blog, as it was always meant to be a side project anyway.

Parking this blog was always meant to be short-term, but work commitments & to be honest my laziness got in the way. Although a decade is a bit extreme.

Anyway, I’m back & Geekystuff.co is back.

I’m 10 years older, definitely greyer but more of a geek than I ever was.

I admit I’m still a sucker for a geeky music video parody so I’ll still be post them. However, the world has moved on much in the last decade.

Being a geek is almost cool.

I believe there’s actually a fashion trend called geek chic.

Geeks have become so rich & powerful that 2 of the richest (you know who I’m talking about) have their own space programs.

I still believe that everyone has an inner geek. An obsession with something, maybe a TV series, an author, a hobby or countless other subjects where they get a great deal of enjoyment out of it but others can’t see how or why.

My goal for this blog hasn’t changed too much even after a decade. It’s really about my geekyness, things I enjoy and maybe at times obsess about.

Hopefully, at some point, I’ll stumble upon what you geek about and we can both geek out together.

I’ll try to post regularly, but if I do slip a little.

If I’m not back in five minutes, just wait longer.
